Making the Most Out Of Managing in the Middle

A woman in red and black sparkly outfit speaking on stage with a smile.

Management is Tough ...

Especially for those managers sandwiched between folks they are responsible for supporting and folks who are responsible for supporting them ... the "Middle Managers."

Sharpening Key Skills Helps!

Dr. Erika, Strategically Authentic's Chief Encouragement Officer, has developed a two-part workshop specifically for individuals managing in the middle! Part One is called "Operational Shifts for Practical People;" Part Two is called "Supporting Humans Who Produce, Not Producers Who Happen to be Human." This comprehensive workshop, held over two morning sessions, helps managers level up across multiple management responsibilities including:
📝 Giving functional feedback that drives meaningful change
📝 Increasing engagement through effective delegation
📝 Balancing strategy with efficiency as a decision maker
📝 Optimizing meetings (individual and team)
📝 Coaching for better prioritization by team members
📝 Supporting staff during seasons of uncertainty

A key component of the program's effectiveness comes from the systemic insights provided. Rather than looking at each component individually, highlighting necessary skills, providing opportunities for skill development, and then moving on to the next component to repeat the steps, the 4M program includes intentional exploration of the systemic impact each component has. Management responsibilities are optimized when a manager recognizes their interconnectedness. This program helps participants better understand the "web" of their work, ultimately resulting in better outcomes across myriad priorities like employee engagement, retention, and overall performance.
